Dr. Sofa is one of three generations who grew up around furniture. When he was young, he was already composing sketches and carrying out repairs for his father. As a young adult, he became an apprentice in the family business, and became an accomplished carpenter. From there, it wasn’t hard to learn the basics of upholstery, design, refinishing, and antique furniture repair.

Dr Sofa operates throughout the NY area, and knows better than anyone the problems of fitting furniture into small spaces. He realizes that most of the problems involved with moving home or office are a result of the size and fit of furniture into its new space. American furniture designers and manufacturers produce beautiful furniture for wonderful homes, but squeezing them into tiny Manhattan apartments can be a problem
